Dream - Galilee Kills You

Here is a dream I had this morning:

We were sentenced to death for reasons that were unclear. Four to six of us. We had been gathered on the gallows, which was more like a stage. I stood watching the magistrate/executioner and the first one to die. The crowd was behind me. I did not know the first man to be executed. The executioner said ceremonial words. The man sucked in air and pleaded with the crowd, the executioner. He began to cry and say he couldn't believe this was happening. The executioner placed a tongue depressor into the man's mouth and followed with a small green tablet. The man was forced to swallow the pill and the executioner said, "Galilee kills you." The man said, "Oh my god, I swallowed it, oh my god." He gagged at the thought and we all waited for signs that his body was beginning to die.

Then I woke up.

i like dream journals, too. i wish i remembered more of my dreams. that line, the way the guy said it in the dream, "Galilee kills you" has been with me all day; like some sort of reverse communion ceremony. and how terrified the guy was. it's amazing how things experienced and felt in a dream hang around so strongly for a day or two.

prathna, that's interesting. i get a vertigo kind of feeling when i experience deja vu. i always stand there and feel like i had already dreamt what was happening and then i try to remember the dream, when i had it; but i never remember.

I know it's bad form, byt I have a hard time hearing dreams. This one was easier than most, told in a way that lends itself to the no-word-for-the-thing description.

Do you really have an Amazon Kindle? Is it awesome?

Thanks, Adam. Yeah, conveying dreams is tricky for exactly that no-word-for-the-thing quality.

No, I don't have a Kindle. I don't even have the money to buy a Kindle. I just made the DoFA book available for those who do have a Kindle. I'd like to read on one before buying, though.

prathna, I know what you mean. it's okay to be paranoid. that way you're ready for when they make their move to get you.

wow, TV de LCD, I'm really like your blog. look fun and good. hooray. thanks. buy now.
